Good morning GH. I am feeling more talented all the time. Although it is 3:30 AM on Saturday, I have actually succeeded in changing the date in my camera, and adding all of the day's pictures at the same time. Next thing you know, I'll be able to walk without falling down.
Currently, the temperature on the desktop is 19 degrees. That coincides with the temperature shown on the Weather Window weather station and that of the National Weather Service too. Sugar the Weather Dog is sleeping in the bathroom, I think as a reaction to the rumbling of the train as it went by at about 11:30 last night. It seemed to be moving quickly and at first I thought it was short, but that was due to it's speed I guess. The horn vanished into the night at a rapid pace. We had a short traffic tie up yesterday just before noon. A short train, engineered by a woman, ain't life grand, went by with one locomotive, three covered hopper cars, and one tank car. Just saw another two locomotive train; Grand Rapids, Eastern and Mid-Michigan, followed by many covered hopper cars and tank cars, all heading north. One of these days I will have to follow Adam's sugggestion, I'll have my camera at the ready, and begin to really track the trains. Yeah, I know, a cheap pun.
I went downstairs to retrieve my camera earlier this morning, and discovered that Mary had received her order of tomato sauce. It had been left on the porch by the delivery service. We probably couldn't cook here without it. We use it for salsa, regular spaghetti, and my personal favorite, spaghettirole casserole. My thanks to her for making it and to Adam for always wanting it as a kid. I should also mention that Mary made a new recipe for potato pancakes, which were quite good. If I had a suggestion, they needed something like salsa to make them more tasty. I know, I know, potato pancakes are supposed to have sour cream and applesauce for toppings, but you know me, salsa generally completes anything. Later we had some veggie faux chicken wings, which I did add hot sauce to, and they were great. Those came from the natural food store referenced below.
We drove down to Holland yesterday, but with the snow coming in, we didn't stay long, and we didn't actually get what we went for. But, we did find that there is a natural food store there that gave us access to some things that we can't get here. However, their prices are a tad higher, so the trade-off isn't really worth it.
So, before it gets much later, I'll add my captions to the pictures I downloaded earlier and then head off to bed for some sleep before UP comes on and it is...Tea time. Ciao.

The only tracks are those left by our early departing neighbor. It improved with time and effort.
