Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City."
Coincidentally, it is also well past the amount of time I had planned to spend trying to get our digital radio to connect to Pandora. The non-helpful chat-line at the company that sold/made this radio is supposed to be available 24/7, but I believe that they are not really there. However, their computer is more than happy to generate messages as though someone cares. Sigh.
We have a current temperature of 57° as we head towards today's high of 78° under sunny-skies with a 0% chance for precipitation. I have to remind Mary that her hanging baskets are in dire need of watering. The sun will rise on the rest of my day @ 6:05 a.m. and set @ 9:22 p.m.
As I noted earlier, I have tried in vain many time to resolve the connection problem with the Internet radio. I can receive local stations, but no Pandora. I cannot believe how solicitous a computer can be, offering platitudes and bonhomie, but I have come to believe that no actual live person is there.
Baseball was not very, very good to me yesterday. With the exception of my beloved Red Sox sweeping the woeful Royals, every other team lost. The Cubs are now in a statistical tie for 1st place with the Brewers in the NL Central, while the Sox are still mired in 3rd and the Tigers are in 4th. I cannot even guess why the Caps are doing so poorly, but then, I am a Diehard Cubs Fan, so I should be able to understand futility.
At any rate, the Cubs welcome the Cardinals today @ 2:20 p.m. EDT, the Sox are home with the Rays @ 7:10 p.m., the Tigers play ball @ 7:10 p.m. against the 1st place Twins @ Comerica Park, and the Caps take the field against the Bowling Green Hot Rods, in Bowling Green, @ 7:35 p.m.
I had a productive day in the kitchen yesterday. I was able to tie my apron and then I made vegan bratwursts, tofu for lasagna soup, and more vegan soy curls, which the fur-children like. Go figure.
Otherwise, I did get in some drawing practice and did more reading and crossword solving. Not much else was happening on a beautiful day in "The City." Ciao.
