Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 5:00 a.m. in "The City."

We are currently seeing a light drizzle here in GH. I let Ginger out around 3:30 a.m. and she came back wet, so I have anecdotal proof of the rain. I guess when a fur-child licks your elbow and then,  when you open the door to the bedroom she streaks to the back door, you should pay attention.

We have a current temperature of 60° following yesterday's spring-like temperature of 72°. Today's high is forecast to reach only 61° with scattered T-storms early this morning morphing into an 80% chance for T-storms later tonight. The sun will rise shortly @ 6:08 a.m. and set later @ 9:17 p.m.

Baseball news yesterday was mostly dismal. The Cubs took 10 innings, but fell to the Cardinals, 1 - 2. Yu Darvish pitched well, but the final run was scored off of reliever Mike Montgomery. The Cubs now have a slim, 1/2 game lead over the 2nd place Brewers. The Cubs and the Cardinals play again tonight @ 7:15 p.m.

My beloved 3rd place Red Sox are fading, FAST! They lost to the 1st place Yankees last night, 1 - 4. Chris Sale recorded 10 Ks fpr the Sox, but the Sox bats were in the freezer. The Sox and the Yankees try again tonight @ 7:15 p.m.

The 4th place Tigers pounded the Braves last night, 8 - 2. Too little too late. Miggy is resting a sore knee and is day to day. The Tigers are in Atlanta this evening to play the Braves again @ 4:10 p.m.

The woeful West Michigan White Caps dropped yet another game to the Lake County, OH Captains last night, 4 - 9. The Caps are in 7th while the Captains are in 2nd in the MWL East. Those teams try again tonight too @ 7:00 p.m.

I saw both ends of the train run yesterday. At 9:02 a.m., I watched out the WW as MMRR locomotives 2019 and 2025 passed by heading south, towing 14 CHCs, 2 DWTCs, 2 GTCs, and 13 DBTCs. Later, @ 12:17 p.m., I was downstairs eating lunch when Ginger and I espied the northbound run of those same locomotives towing 5 DBTCs, 2 DWTCs, and 1 CHC.

We accomplished more indoor chores yesterday and also ran a quick errand or two.

We also planted the rose bushes in the vast gardens of the PE along with some marigolds and then watered them well. By the by, there are now two buds on those Irises that we got from Steph and Adam. Looking good!

I finished another dragon to practice my background coloring against the main colors of the real dragon I'm working on for Mary. I want to get it right so that it looks good on her desk.

We had a nice dinner of homemade pizza last evening. We used a great homemade crust courtesy of Mary, topped with vegan cheez mix, nutritional yeast, my homemade vegan sausages on top of a tasty sauce.

Today, we plan to once again go to Hemlock Crossing for a presentation on the Glaciers that shaped West Michigan, Tomorrow, when the weather is better, we are planning to go on a tour of one-room school-houses in Ottawa County. We read about the tour in our local newspaper, the Grand Haven Tribune. Whenever we travel, we discover local happenings in the local papers, so why should we do any different when at home?

Ciao.
