Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 5:30 a.m. in "The City", where the current temperature under clear skies is a very seasonal 37°, although it feels like 30° with a wind out of the northwest @ 10 mph.

The NWS has issued yet another Small Craft Advisory from St. Joseph to Manistee beginning tomorrow morning @ 12:00 a.m. and continuing until 10:00 a.m. Wind speeds of 15 to 25 knots with gusts possible to 30 knots may produce waves up to four feet in height. Here in Michigan, those are small waves if you check with the surfers,

I accomplished several things yesterday. I took an extended walk for the second day in a row, helped Mary clean, which included assisting with emptying the floor washing bucket, enjoyed some time in my studio, baked another batch of my never to be famous vegan chocolate chip cookies, and did more reading.

It is worthy of note, that I had finished the book Mary had recommended to me, Tomorrow and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, by Gabrielle Zevins a couple of days ago, and it was one of the best books I've read in my life. I'm back into my regular genre now, detective fiction, and I'm reading Nelson Demille's Wildfire. Nothing like tried and true for me most of the time.

Otherwise, things around the manse are mostly mundane, which is just fine by me. I'm enjoying retirement as I head towards my next date with my orthopedist later this month.

It took a while, but Mary finally got her latest book to download, The Dead Romantics, by Ashley Poston a couple of days ago. This is a book that I recommended and which Mary is enjoying as much as I did.

Today should be a great day for another walk in the park as I extend my walking disatance more each day. Plus, I will take a stab at more crossword puzzles and a cryptograph along with more reading. That's before tonight's regularly scheduled Simple Songs for Ukulele scheduled for 9:00 p.m.

I forgot to mention that Mary and I placed my latest painting in our entrance foyer, what we have now dubbed my gallery, and it looks better than I expected. Like most artists, whatever their genre, I am my own worst critic.

Mary will continue to print and ear-read along with more cross-stitching on her long-running project. She may, or may not, go to a nature walk at Hemlock County Park today. That will be a game time decision.

That looks like enough for today. Ciao.
