Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 6:00 a.m. in "The City", where I am writing from my upstairs studio, with the current temperature of 37° under cloudy skies feeling more like 29°, with a wind out of the northwest blowing @ 12 mph.
The sun will rise this morning @ 7:19 a.m., with sunset occurring @ 6:35 p.m.
Unfortunately, the NWS has continued a Small Craft Advisory from St. Joseph to Manistee until 3:00 p.m. today, with 25 knot winds propelling waves up to five feet in height.
But, to mangle that old cartoon phrase, "That's not all folks!"
The NWS has also issued a Winter Storm Watch, for central, south-central, southwest, and west-central MI, to commence sometime tomorrow afternoon and continue into late tomorrow night, with predictions calling for up to six inches plus of heavy snow, and wind gusts up to 40 mph! Yes, March has come in like a lion!
Otherwise, things are quiet here at the manse and the palatial estate.
I am nearing the end of Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, and I still like it. This book has taken some strange twists, but that's okay, because I have been able to follow the plotline.
In lieu of an ear-read during our meals, we have been reading. As I noted above, I am reading Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, while Mary is reading a biographical tome about Eleanor Roosevelt. TV is generally not part of our lives, except later in the evening when Ginger and I retire to watch a movie and some old reruns of Murder She Wrote. Mary joins us later after cross-stitching and reading.
Since we mostly completed our indoor chores yesterday while Ginger was at the groomer, today is a day for music, painting, coloring, and other leisure pursuits. Since I will be up here in my studio, Mary will be downstairs doing what she likes to do and finishing those indoor chores.
Mostly though, it is a good day to be retired and to enjoy life. Ciao.
