Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 6:00 a.m. in "The City."

Well, I had another big-fingers typing disaster and erased my nearly completed blog. So, this is a reprisal if my previously written efforts.

We had a T-storm around 2:30 a.m. this morning that drove STWD to her hide-e-hole, where she had already spent much of the day yesterday. It was raining when we got up yesterday, so I just barely got Sugar out after she ate breakfast and then she was gone. Mary took Ginger for a rain-shortened walk, but the intrepid weather dog was having none of that.

The T-storms are over for today and should not return until Wednesday evening with a 90% probability. The sun will rise today @ 7:12 a.m. and set later @ 8:14 p.m. Our tourist town is now ours for another nine months, give or take.

Baseball news yesterday was once again 50/50. My beloved 1st place in the AL East, 95 - 44, Red Sox, put a whooping on the 1st place in the NL East, 76 - 61 Braves yesterday, 8 - 2. The Braves and the Sox play again tonight @ 7:35 p.m.

The Cubs' bullpen once again imploded, as the Cubs saw skipper Joe Maddon and relief-pitcher Carl Edwards Jr,, ejected for arguing ball and strike calls, a no-no in baseball. The Cubs had managed to take a 3 - 2 lead on an Anthony Rizzo home run, but Edwards replacement, Steve Cishek, hit two Brewers before the final hard-hit grounder came to 3rd baseman Kris Bryant. He elected to step on 3rd and then throw to first to get the final out. Sadly, his throw was too late and the Brewers got the winning run for a 4 - 3 victory. The Cubs are still ahead of the 2nd place Brewers by four games, and they meet again tonight @ 8:120 p.m.

The 4th place, 58 - 83 in the AL Central Tigers, were doing okay against that, 3rd place, 56 - 82 other team from Chicago, but finally succumbed, 2 - 4. Those two teams once again play tonight for a seat on the couch this fall @ 8:10 p.m.

The Caps won their do or die regular season-ending game over the visiting Ft. Wayne, IN Tin Caps, 3 - 2 in 10 innings. The Caps meet the Great Lakes Loons Wednesday night @ 7:00 p.m. in what we hope is the first of many playoff games for the Caps.

I used the kitchen yesterday to make another batch of my now famous vegan Italian meatballs after Mary made a nice lunch of sweet corn and my also famous vegan Italian sausages. My meatballs later became part of a delicious spaghetti dinner that Mary made once we returned from our trip to the grocery store.

Today, we should be able to get STWD and Ginger to take a walk to The Bookman and then I can go to my barber's appointment. After that, I have to bake some blueberry muffins for our book club meeting Wednesday afternoon. That will be a busy day or me as I have my last P/T appointment too.

Otherwise, not much on tap for a couple of retirees. It looks as tough my big fingers made it through this time. Ciao.
