Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 2:30 a.m. in "The City."

Ginger and I were outside around 2:00 a.m. and the skies are indeed partly cloudy and the current temperature is 68°. Per the NWS, today's high temperature will also be 68° with an 80% chance of T-storms the a.m. The sun will rise @ 7:46 a.m. and set tonight @ 7:20 p.m.

Ginger and I also spotted trains yesterday. At 8:13 .m., it didn't take long to spot the EMD GP 38-2 locomotive that is part of the rolling stock that belongs to the MMRR as it headed southbound on the RSTL towing only two DBTCs.

Later, @ 12:33 p.m., that same locomotive passed by heading north towing five CHCs, three DBTCs, and four DWTCs. To once again borrow from Porky Pig, "That's all folks."

I/we finally heard from the doctor's office and I now have a visit to the MRI lab on October 13 scheduled @ 10:30 a.m. That's a full 10 days before my appointment @ the yak doctor.

I watched the Yankees defeat the Twins in the AL Wildcard game last night by a score of 8 - 4. There were so many pitching changes that you really did need a scorecard to keep track. The Yankees next opponent will be the Cleveland Indians, the AL Central Division champs. The Wildcard game is a one and done game, so that explains the large number of pitching changes. Tonight, the Rockies and the D'Backs play the NL Wildcard game.

As you may recall, the NL Central-winning Cubs play the NL East-winning Nationals on Friday night @ 7:30 p.m. while my beloved Red Sox travel to Houston to face the Astros earlier in the day @ 4:00 p.m.

Yesterday I baked that aforementioned apple pie for our book club meeting and it turned out great from all appearances. The taste-test comes later today.

Otherwise, I plan to continue reading today and Mary plans to continue crafting after walking the fur-children. Ciao.
