Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 2:30 a.m. in "The City." It is also just past 2:30 a.m. in the snow covered scene just outside the WW (Weather Window).
We are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 11:00 a.m. this morning. That advisory has the NWS predicting a total of 2 - 4 inches of snowfall accompanied by hazardous driving conditions and longer than usual travel times. Ya think? Michiganders are hardy souls, and they often pretend that they can drive a 4-wheeler drive vehicle better than most, but it won't be long before the reports of accidents start to appear on the Twitter™ site of WOOD-TV.
At any rate, the snow will fall and I'll watch it fall and then I'll wait until our neighbor does his snow removal tasks before I do mine. Today's high is forecast to reach 33° so melting will occur, The current temperature is 25° with snow stopping and starting off and on until the expiration of that Winter Weather Advisory. We did get out yesterday to pick up that salt @ the big-box home center nearby and so we have no need to go out today. The fur-children, STWD and GTTSD, didn't get a walk yesterday and it is likely that they won't get one today beyond the back-forty. Sorry girls. The sun will rise this morning @ 8:00 a.m. and set this evening @ 5:56 p.m.
Mary got a missive from the publisher of the last index that requires further revisions to the index from H E double hockey sticks, as Walter "Radar" O'Reilly of the television show M.A.S.H. used to say. Mary had other plans, but those are now put on hold.
I did bake yesterday after all. I made another loaf of my not unique but tasty beer bread. Mary made a vegan veggie omelet for our lunch using chickpea flour and various vegetables. It turned out more like scrambled eggs in actuality, but the taste was also great. Dinner was @ Tip-A-Few while we were out on our errand run. Today, I may do some cooking while Mary works on that index.
We have some phone calls to make to our various Congresspersons today. There are people who need to be opposed with a NO vote. We may not have much effect, but every call helps. So if you are of a mind to make calls, today would be a good day to get them done.
Otherwise, not much is on tap. Snow removal, fur-children ins, and outs, reading, playing with the girls and that should fill out my day. When you are retired, there is so much to do, so little time. : - ). Mary already knows what her day will be like. Ciao.
