Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 12:00 a.m. in "The City."
Sorry about all of those links in my last blog, but sometimes my fingers get to roaming the keyboard and seemingly take on a life of their own. At any rate, I promise that it won't happen again, well at least not for a while.
We had a great day in GH yesterday. The clouds cleared, the sun shone and the day was perfect for a walk to the library for my Irish Jam session and then later for a walk to the Double Deuce for dinner.
We had a solid turnout for the jam session and with several guitar players, some whistle players, a bodhran, and a couple of fiddles, we made some good music. I never cease to be amazed by the young people who can play most of the tunes from memory while I have to have my sheet music in front of me. A pity that youth is wasted on the young.
I spent the day reading both before and after the jam session and after dinner. Mary did some cooking and the laundry while I was out. I took some time late yesterday evening to remove the pink mold from our humidifier that we use in the bedroom. I got it all and so I was able to bring the humidifier back on line. Until Mary told me we had a problem with pink mold, I didn't know that it even existed. Live and learn I guess.
Mary made the mistake of going to the big-box most everything and grocery store yesterday. Judging by her description of the store, not much has changed. This store is part of a large Michigan-based chain and this one, in particular, is poorly managed. They are often out of desired products, the lines at the checkouts are long and slow and today, Mary tells me that there were no carts available in the store. Many people were looking for them. They didn't know it was their responsibility to bring a cart in with them when they came into the store.
Today we have no specific plans other than to read and finish a crossword puzzle. Mary is between indexing jobs right now and that's just the way she wanted it to be. Mary has some sewing to do and we will likely take the fur-children for a walk by a route that allows them to explore their environment as only dogs can.
The current temperature is 43° with cloudy skies. Later today, the skies will remain cloudy as the temperature rises to 46°. The sun will rise @ 8:09 a.m. and set @ 5:44 p.m. Ciao.
