Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 2:00 a.m. in "The City."
Since yesterday was rather pedestrian, I'll start with the weather and then move on to the news of the day.
We have a current temperature of 38° that feels like 33° due to some light winds. In addition, the NWS is indicating that rain is falling, albeit lightly. A quick glance out the WW was inconclusive. Today's high is forecast to be 40° with a 90% chance of rain in the morning hours. Saturday, the forecast also calls for rain in the morning, but with a high temperature of 53°. I believe that it was the late Freddie Prinze who would have said, "Looking Good!" The sun will rise later this morning @ 8:10 a.m. and set this afternoon @ 5:41 p.m.
We took a short walk with the fur-children yesterday and our suspicions regarding STWD were confirmed. She made a beeline to The Bookman for a biscuit treat and she was rewarded with two biscuits. If you are a dog, what's not to like? In addition, Sugar has become reticent to use the area that I cleared in the back forty for the exclusive use of our fur-children. It appears that she feels as though there has been too much use and so she won't even leave the deck. She can be stubborn sometimes. A quick walk to the front parkway and all is well.
Mary worked on the latest index while I was at the barber shop. When I returned, she had already made a tasty lunch that consisted of her now famous, well at least with me, mushroom gravy, beest, and garlic smashed potatoes. She then went back to work. Dinner later was more of her vegan beest on buns with a side of the Coleslaw that I had made just a few minutes before the meal. Somewhere in there, I assisted with some editing duties after which I spent some time with the girls. I liked the time with the girls more.
Today we have little on tap other than a visit to the chiropractor in the afternoon. Mary will continue indexing and I may take to the kitchen unless I just spend time reading. The chiropractor visit takes about 30 minutes, not counting travel time. Currently, we are back to using the crate for GTWD when we go out, as she has that separation anxiety thing. We'll work it out.
That's all folks. Ciao.
