Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 5:00 a.m. in "The City."

Where do I begin, to tell the story of ... Oops, I was channeling once again. But that's okay, because I just finished reading an article about geniuses, of which I am definitely not one, who often exhibit a touch of craziness. The article pointed out that sometimes, a little crazy is good. So, perhaps there is a "method to my own madness", which in the case of the Romans, actually meant something more like inspiration or illumination, and so it was something to aspire to. I'll leave it to your kindly discretion to decide.

We have a current temperature of 36° which is accompanied by a Frost Advisory that will remain in effect until 8:00 a.m. this morning. If youi have houseplants or vegetables outside, you are good to go if they are under cover or otherwise protected. I believe that our veggies will be fine in their greenhouse home.

Today's high will reach 59° under mostly sunny skies. That's after the sun has risen @ 6:48 a.m. and long before it sets @ 8:37 p.m. The next chance for prolonged 60° plus high temperatures will be May 4th!

Baseball news yesterday was mixed, at least for me. The 11 - 10, 3rd in the NL Central Cubs, rode the fine pitching of 3 - 1, LHP Jose Quintana, to a 7 - 2 win over the 15 - 10, 1st place in the NL West Dodgers. Cubs' catcher, Willson Contreras, SS Javier Baez and others all contributed. The Cubs and the Dodgers go again tonight @ 8:05 p.m., when LHP Cole Hamels goes for his 4th win against no losses. As of now, Jon Lester is set to come off the IL and pith Thursday's game against the Dodgers.

Sadly, my beloved, now 9 - 15, 4th place in the AL East, Red Sox, fell to the now 12 - 10, 3rd place in the AL Central Tigers, twice, 4 - 2, with RHP Spencer Turnbull getting the win, and RHP Hector Velasquez taking the loss for the Sox in game one, and 2 - 1, LHP Matthew Boyd getting the win for the Tigers, while RHP Colten Brewer took the loss for the Sox.

If there was any good news, it was that Sox' LHP Chris Sale struck out 10, but was lifted before he could lose again. The Tigers and the Sox go again tonight in Fenway @ 7:10 p.m. when 1 - 2, LHP Eduardo Rodriguez gets the start.

The 8 - 9 in the MWL East Caps, took a second one from the Great Lakes Loons, last night, 4 - 3. The Caps and the Loons go at it this afternoon @ 2:05 p.m.

My few hairs got cut yesterday and my P/T appointment went well. I have one more appointment next week and then I am free. As my mother-in-law, Eleanore, used to say, "Retirement is so busy." I literally run out of time each day to do all of the things that I want/need to do. Who knew?

I am nearly done with my Grisham baseball novel and I like it! I finished the Tuesday crossword from the Grand Haven Tribune in under 1/2 hour yesterday. Mary is considering ordering the USA Today to get a broader perspective on the day's news and which would also give me more crossword puzzles to work. Like I noted earlier, I may have to get up yesterday to get everything done.

Today, we plan to do some plantings in the vast gardens of the PE, erect a fence to keep STWD and Ginger out of Mary's rose garden, and then go to the chiropractor. Ciao.
