Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 4:30 a.m. in"The City."
I'm going to attempt to keep this one short, but who knows.
We have current temperature of 37 degrees as we attempt to reach 38 degrees, today's forecast high. erhaps you may have noticed that I'm not using the degree symbol in
thios blog. That's because I hit some key and now my keyboard won't go
there. Oddly, that's the only symbol that isn't working. Go figure. In addition, that River Flood Warning is still un effect for much of lower MI until next Wednesday. That being the case, I've included Hollywood's version of a flood disaster from YouTube™ as a way to remind people what a river flood can be like. Hokey? You bet!

We will have sunrise this morning @ 7:57 a.m. ans watch through cloudy-skies as it sets later @ 7:51 p.m.
In Mesa, AZ, your intrepid baseball/weather reporter got it totally wrong with regard to yesterday's weather in Mesa. SO today, I'll report correctly and tell you that the current temperature is 49 degrees as the Cubs anticipate today's high of 74 degrees.
At any rate, also in Cubs' news, $126 million pitcher, Yu Darvish, is still feeling good and is now penciled in as the #2 starter behind Opening Day pitcher, Jon Lester, who opens the Cubs' 2019 season on March 28. Here's hoping for Yu to have a healthy 2019. The Cubs have also optioned Shortstop Nico Hoerner to the minor league camp and he is likely to open the season for the Cubs' Tennessee "AA" farm team, the Tennessee Smokies. Look for Nico to be with the major league team soon.
In Ft. Myers, FL, the Red Sox are feeling a current temperature of 69 degrees under partly-cloudy skies. Today's high should reach 84 degrees, also under partly-cloudy skies, with rain in the forecast for tonight. The Sox have high hopes for right-handed relief pitcher, Durbin Feltman, their 100th pick in the 2018 draft. If all goes well, he could be called up to the major-league team very soon at only 21 years of age.
Meanwhile in Lakeland, FL, the current temperature being experienced by the Tigers is 66 degrees with today's high to reach 87 degrees. The Tigers optioned their 5th ranked prospect, outfielder Daz Cameron, to the minor-league camp. However his stay in the minors may be short as he has displayed all of the attributes of a major-league player so far this spring.
Otherwise yesterday, I made my appointment at the podiatrist without incident and I'm good to go for another 90 days. P/T in the afternoon went well, my range of motion is increasing nicely as is my arm strangth. It looks like another four weeks of P/T should get me well on my way to a full recovery.
Afterwards, we traveled to that big-box nearly everything store's location in Muskegon rather than the location here in GH. The Muskegon location has shelves that are better stocked with the items we were seeking to purchase. Why is that the case? Danged if we know.
I did a lot of cleanup in the back-forty when I got home from the podiatrist and got wet as the rains began to fall in earnest yesterday. We had quite the downpour accompanied by thunder that drove STWD to her hide-e-hole. The rains assisted with the cleanup. It looks like the snows will be gone by late next week once the daily temperatures stay in the 40s. Then the real cleanup begins.
Today. baking, reading, crossword solving, dog grooming, cooking, and time in the man-cave. Ciao.
