Let's dispense with the weather right off. We have a current temperature of 32° under partly-cloudy skies. Later today, after the sun rises @ 8:04 a.m., the high should reach all the way down to 31°, about six degrees colder than it was yesterday. That's before the sun sets @ 7:46 p.m.. With the way that the wind was blowing yesterday, it felt much colder than that 37° temperature.
Mary went to the grocery store yesterday as I stayed home to watch the fur-children. We got along fine as I read the newspaper, but when Mary came home, all bets were off for Ginger. She has separation issues whenever Mary is out of her sight and can't wait to greet her when she comes home.
We all settled in for a while and then Mary and I traveled to the Spring Lake District Library to see Peat in the Creel. They were excellent and we enjoyed their performance immensely. I came away with a couple of songs I want to work on for my own enjoyment. That often happens whenever I see a band perform.
We didn't take our DSLR camera, so our Senior Staff Photographer had to use her Smart Phone to take this pic.

In spite of all of the rain that we received Saturday, the snow piles and much of the ice is still with us. That means the the fur-children are climbing like mountain goats to do their duty. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, I hope, the snow and ice will be gone. In fact, the high temperature forecast from the NWS for Thursday calls for a high of 55°! Sadly, the temperatures will then return to the mid-30s for several more days.
Speaking of current and high temperatures, the current temperature in Mesa, AZ is 62° as the Cubs anticipate a high of 71° with rain likely in the afternoon.
In Ft. Myers, FL, my beloved Red Sox are basking in a current temperature of 74° as they await today's high of 88° under partly-cloudy skies.
The Tigers, down in Lakeland, FL @ Joe Marchant Stadium, have a current temperature of 69° as they too await cloudy-skies and a high temperature of 87°.
I have another P/T appointment this afternoon and then we are free to do as we please. A quick trip to Holland may be in-the cards, as Mary shops for new sandals. I will make do with last year's sandals because they fit and they are comfortable. I hope to acquire some acrylic paint at a store near there to finish the edge of my painting from Saturday. I realized once I had brought it home that the edge that was on the easel wasn't painted. It needs to be before it gets its permanent display space.
Otherwise, Dawn will be in to clean today and so she will keep track of the fur-children while we are out. Ciao.
