Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 12:00 a.m. in "The City."

I did it, I made another Pi for our History Book Club meeting later today. This one is a blueberry Pi that I/we won't taste until the meeting this afternoon. That's okay, I just know it will be good. Better ingredients and good effort equal great Pi!

We have a current temperature of 42° under mostly cloudy skies. It seems like the sun has been coming and going for several days. However, with the current view out the WW being dark with a side of darker, there is no way to tell whether the forecast for later today of mostly sunny with a high temperature of 55° is real. The sun will rise today at 6:35 a.m. and set @ 8:48 p.m.

Sports news yesterday/last night was mostly good. The Cubs outhit the Phillies and that resulted in an 8 - 3 victory to move the Cubs into sole possession of 1st place in the NL Central, one full game ahead of the Brewers with a record of 14 - 12. The Cubs and the Phillies play again tonight @ 7:05 p.m.

The Tigers were also winners in their game against the Indians, 5 - 2. That still finds the Tigers in 4th place in the AL Central, also with a record of 14 - 12, The Tigers and the Indians play tonight @ 7:10 p.m.

My beloved Red Sox defeated the Orioles by a score of 5 - 2. The win gives the Sox an AL East record of, yes, 14 - 12 which is only good enough for 3rd place. The Sox and the Orioles play tonight @7:10 p.m.

Sadly the only loss yesterday was the Caps as they fell to the Clinton, IA Lumberkings by a score of 4 - 5 in the MWL East. That loss dropped them into a 2nd place tie with the South Bend Cubs with identical records of 15 - 10. The Dayton Dragons lead the league with their record of 16 - 9. The Caps and the Lumberkings play tonight @ 6:35 p.m. We're still waiting for the warmer weather for our first game of the season @ the Fifth/Third Ballpark.

The trains were on the tracks on their new Tuesday/Thursday schedule yesterday. At 9:55 a.m., locomotives 2019 and 2057 rolled through heading south pulling 16 CHCs, and one DBTC @ the end. Later, after we had finished casting our votes for the successful millage for the Grand Haven Area Public Schools, I watched as the same tandem of locomotives pass by heading north pulling 12 DBTs eight CHCs, and three DWTCs.

Along with voting, we completed several errands yesterday afternoon and then picked up Ginger from daycare before heading home. I watched some news, Mary surfed the web, and then we settled in to watch NCIS.

After our book club, I plan to settle in for some time with the girls and then later tonight I'll watch the latest episode of my new favorite TV show, Designated Survivor. Mary tells me that she has a tough time following it.

Otherwise, not much will be happening and that's fine with me. Ciao.
