I am going to once again attempt to KISS this blog. Will I succeed? Stay tuned fans.
We have a current temperature of 31° that feels like 19° due to the wind-chill factor of 19° caused by the 22 mph wind speed. Mary put salt on our deck last night to ward off the effects of the cooling temperatures. Today's high temperature will reach 32° with wind speeds slowly decreasing from the current 22 mph to the single digits. That should help some, but this is winter in MI.
Good news though, the high temperature tomorrow will be 36°sunny degrees and Saturday's high, just in time for our annual Frozen in Time activity, should be 43°, albeit with a 60% chance for showers. Still, we should be able to walk between the raindrops and take some pix with the polarizing filter on our camera to reduce the glare that comes from the store-front windows as they keep the actors warm. This year's theme is movies, "Frozen in Time."
Speaking of temperatures, in Lakeland, FL, the Tigers will be enjoying today's high temperature of 86° after the overnight low of 67°. My beloved Red Sox endured Ft. Myers 70° overnight, as they await today's eventual high of 85°. In Mesa, AZ, the Cubs only dropped to 49°, but today's high will be only 51° with a 100% chance for rain showers.
I was busy in the kitchen yesterday baking more of that aforementioned soy-curl jerky and those cupcakes I'd planned for today's History Book Club meeting at the Tri-Cities History Museum. See this pic taken by our staff photographer with her Smart Phone.
If you have to ask why I put sprinkles on only 1/2 of my efforts, you wouldn't understand. |
So today's activities will be reading, perhaps some cooking of one of my favorites, tofu stir-fry, and relaxing before the book club meeting.
I think I did pretty well on my KISS plans. The sun will rise @ 7:33 a.m. ans et this evening @ 6:23 p.m. Ciao.
