Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and
across the world. It is just past 3:30 a.m. in "The City."
The current temperature is 31° but it feels like 22° under cloudy-skies, No snow will be falling until about 10:00 a.m. today with a 35% chance, increasing to 100% @ 3:00 p.m. and then slowly waning until 12:00 a.m. Monday morning.
Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5
inches are forecast for portions of central, south central, southwest
and west
central Michigan. Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions as the
snow develops this afternoon. Snow will then change over to drizzle
this evening and then end tonight.
Roads will become snow
covered and slick this afternoon and evening. Roads will freeze
up late tonight and likely will be slick for the Monday morning
commute.
Ouch! Slow down and use caution while traveling. Ya think?
Today's high
is
forecast to reach 33°, under those snowy-skies. It is only two more
days
until spring. You remember, that's February 11, when the pitchers and catchers report to AZ or FL, my spring beginning. The sun
will rise today @ 7:51 a.m.
and
set later @ 6:07 p.m.
Otherwise, not much is happening. We had an early morning visit from our snow-removal service on Saturday and they cleaned up the porches, the shared-driveway, and the fur-children's play area in the back-forty. They wanted to go for a walk, but their walking behavior is too unpredictable for our old bones. That's our fault, but that is also our reality.
We did go out for a short time yesterday, but that was later in the day following our lunch and our collective crossword solving, but preceding our dinner of homemade pizza ala Mary. I think she has this pizza thing down.
Today looks like a good day to stay in and read more and perhaps do some editing of my own novel. I have moved the manuscript to my desktop, which should force me to try.
I'll leave you with these.
