Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and
across the world. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City."
The current temperature is 28° but it feels like 18° under cloudy-skies
with
light snow fallling until about 5:00 a.m., with winds blowing ESE @ 5 - 10 mph. There is currently a 90% chance for snow, but that will be quickly dropping to 40% and then 5% by 5:00 a.m. Today's high
is
forecast to reach 34°, under partly-cloudy skies. It is only three more days
until spring. The sun
will rise today @ 7:52 a.m.
and
set later @ 6:06 p.m.
We took the fur-children for a walk around the neighborhood yesterday before going out on our errands. We managed a trip to two grocery stores, one of those the big-box nearly everything store. We were once again reminded why we make that store a once every four-weeks or so stop. We wouldn't go there at all except that they have some things that we can't get anywhere else in the area. This store has generally lower prices, but...
Before we made that stop, we stopped at one of the local purveyors of electric bikes to get a perspective on what might be a future purchase for yours truly. It appears that to get anything that will fit me and be of quality, the price will be between $2,000 and $3,000. I love to ride, but that is a steep price. I find myself thinking that a better camera would be a wiser purchase. That's the frugal me thinking/talking, so I'll have to sleep on this decision.
We came home from that grocery trip and then walked to Don Luis for dinner. As we walked, we stopped in at yet another local electric bike purveyor to check out their selection. I had hoped to get back to that store today and test-fit an electric bike that I liked there, but the previously described snow may delay that for a few more days.
Today, with the snow that fell, there will be no going out for us or the fur-children. I am okay with that as I still want that downtime. No errands to run, no places to go, and no need either. Ciao.
