Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 6:30 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 30° but it feels like 23° under partly-cloudy skies with light winds blowing @ 6 mph. There is currently only a 10% chance for additional snow. Today's high is forecast to reach 33°, also under partly-cloudy skies.

It is only one more day until spring, spring-training that is, when the pitchers and catchers report to either the Cactus League in AZ, or the Grapefruit League in FL. Position players are expected to report by February 16. The sun will rise today @ 7:49 a.m. and set later @ 6:09 p.m.

Yesterday, we had a late lunch of salad and vegan Italian sausages and then spent the afternoon reading to the sounds of music to study by on Pandora™. We also collectively did some indoor chores.

Later, I made dinner with some assistance from Mary. Once again, my culinary skills were on display as I made my best stir-fry to date. This one included fresh ginger, freshly minced garlic, julienned carrots, freshly sliced mushrooms, thinly sliced onions, tinned bean sprouts and water chestnuts along with tofu all mixed with just the right amount of molasses and tamari, served over a bed of rice and chow mien noodles.

Today, we hope to get to Muskegon and pick up some free tickets to a March 26 concert @ the Frauenthal Theater, sponsored by the Lawrence and Violet Collins Music Fund and featuring Big Bad Voodoo Daddy with their own version of swing music. This band formed in the 1990s has successfully been touring, promoting, and recording this music since then. This uniquely American art form pays homage to the Swing Era with horn-infused music and a legendary high energy show. I love music and especially Big-Band Era music, so I really want to see this performance.

Mary came to bed late last night, well earlier this morning, as she had gone down the worm-hole with a book that she couldn't put down. I am enjoying the book that she recommended, The Library of the Unwritten, by A.J, Hackwith,  but the small type makes reading more difficult and slower.

We are expecting our snow-removal service to come by today and clear our porch and deck, the area in front of the garage, and the area reserved for the fur-children. My yak sure hopes that will be true.

That's all folks. Ciao.
