Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 3:00 a.m.in "The City."

In honor of Mother's Day, we plan to take a walk in the woods this afternoon at the nearby Hemlock Crossing County Park. If all goes according to plan, we'll participate in a Beginner Bird Walk led by a naturalist, along with snapping pix our trusty camera.  Here's hoping that the weather cooperates.

Speaking of the weather, we have a current temperature of  45° under cloudy-skies, which Mary assured me felt like all of 35°. She based that personal forecast/belief on letting the fur-children out around 1:00 a.m. this morning. The sun will rise today @ 6:24 a.m. and set this evening @ 8:58 p.m. In between, the NWS has forecast that the high temperature will reach 54°, also under cloudy-skies.

Well, my office/music room/weather center/art studio is done! John worked until around 6:30 p.m. last night putting the finishing touches on the walls and my room looks great! I still have to rehang the pictures and other items on the walls, but at least I have my room back.

We went walkabout to the Farmer's Market yesterday morning without the fur-children. They stayed behind and John soon joined them at the manse. While we only got a few items at the market, the walkabout itself was good for both myself and Mary. At the market and along the way, I took some pix.

Our iconic Coal Tipple, a remnant of the railroading past of GH

Spring has sprung, mostly.

One of the peregrine falcons that live at our power plant.

Just because.

The best I could do for an industrial photo was this one of the condos that were part of the Story and Clark piano factory that was a major industry in GH.

Perennials.

Almost!

A terrific Hobbit door on the way home.
Our parkway garden.
We finished planting these colorful additions on Friday.
I am getting verbose, so I am going to limit my baseball news.

The 1st place Cubs took 15 innings, but won their game over 2nd place Brewers, 2 - 1. The Cubs and the Brewers play tonight @ 7:05 p.m. EDT.

My beloved Red Sox are still in 3rd place in the AL East following their 9 - 5 win over the 3rd place in the AL West Mariners, 9 - 5. The Sox and the Mariners play today @ 1:05 p.m.

The 3rd place in the AL Central Tigers split a pair with the 1st place Twins yesterday. Game 1, was the win, 5 - 3, while game 2 was the loss, 3 - 8. The Tigers and the Twins play today @ 2:10 p.m.

The 5th place in the MWL East Caps defeated the 7th place in the MWL West Cedar Rapids Kernels, 7 - 4. The Caps are off today before they travel to Lansing, MI to face the 7th place in the MWL East Lugnuts @ 7:05 p.m. Monday.

As previously noted, Mary and I may be going on the bird walk and also replacing the things in my room.

We also plan a trip to that big-box home center if time permits. Otherwise, that will wait until Monday. Ciao.
