The current temperature is 35° under rain/sleet-filled skies. Today's high will be just one degree warmer @ 36°. also under rain/sleet filled-skies. There are no current watches, warnings, nor advisories in the forecast, at least for now. The sun will rise today @ 7:56 a.m. and set later @ 5:11 p.m. However, the wintry-weather mix is forecast to continue throughout the day, with a slight pause for refreshment around 8:00 a.m. I seriously doubt that we'll be getting up to tend to the needs of the fur-children at that time. So, it will once again be time to coax STWD to go out and then wipe both she and Ginger down upon their return.
Speaking of STWD, she has decided that the living-room couch is a nice place to rest after dinner, so I took a pic of her with my tablet. Since I didn't get a pic of the manse, I'll include one of STWD instead.
Queen of all she surveys. |
College football news yesterday was not so good for fans of the Wolverines. They were crushed by the Buckeyes of "The Ohio State University", 27 - 56. The Wolverines chose to receive the opening kickoff and score first. They even got close at one point in the game, but they were essentially over-matched from the beginning as the Buckeyes never looked back, piling it on the hapless Wolverines at their own "Big House" in Ann Arbor. That loss leaves the Wolverines @ 9 - 3 overall, but only 6 - 3 in the Big 10. Sigh.
You could say that the 6 - 6, 4 - 5 in the Big 10, Spartans of MSU fared better. Yes, you could say that, but that would not be entirely accurate. The Terrapins of Maryland with their own 3 - 9 record, 1 - 8 in the Big 10, gave the Spartans all they could handle, so the final score of 16 - 13 in favor of the Spartans was not really indicative of how low the fortunes of the Spartans have fallen this year. Is a bowl bid likely? Maybe, but at what bowl and against who?
I helped finish the indoor chores when I came in and when we were done both inside and out, we walked over to JWs for some late Saturday adult libations before settling in for dinner and a movie. Mary made a pot of chili for dinner last night. It was great, but I had to add some Frank's™ hot sauce to mine for a bit more oomph. But then, I add Frank's™ to my tomato juice every morning too, so....
Today, Mary plans to continue her reading while I engage in my favorite pastime, indoor Christmas decorating. I already carried our tree and decorations up from the basement, so I am ready to go. As always, I'll include some pix of my handiwork and perhaps a shot or two of the outdoor decorations, once again, weather permitting.
Oh, it is time for the fur-children to get their monthly meds, so they will be looking forward to that treat too. Ciao.
