In other news, I washed the car and watered the gardens on the estate today. I was certain that we would then get rain, but we only got a sprinkling. Still, that's not bad since the end result this year is that the water isn't evaporating so quickly. I was able to use some of Adam's car wash supplies and that in itself was a great gift to me. Sorry, the tire shine spray is all gone, but the tires on the car look great. : - )
In sports, I'll sum it up by saying that most of my favorite teams lost, except for the boys in blue. Now that's a change right there. They tried to give the game away in Seattle, but they must have had a momentary lapse and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Otherwise, not much to report. Sugar and I spent some additional time in the "Bone Zone," and I worked some crosswords and listened to oldies radio. Here in West Michigan, we have a station that actually plays a variety instead of repeating the same 20 songs over and over.
As promised, here are some additional pictures from our recent trip around Lake Michigan.
This was the car we rode at the train museum. It was converted from a car formerly used by the U.S. government to haul missiles.
This is a shot of the cab of the world's largest steam locomotive. They only made a few because they were too hard on the rails due to their tremendous weight.
This is for Angie.
I included this shot from Osh Kosh, although the museum was closed the day we attempted to visit.
